Who Was Billy Sunday?
The famous evangelist Billy Sunday made his home and headquarters in Winona Lake from 1911 until his death in 1935. A former professional baseball player, this fiery evangelist inspired millions with a captivating mixture of theatrics, humor, and hellfire. His widow, "Ma" Sunday, continued to live in the family home until she died in 1957. Their home has been lovingly preserved as a tribute to this dynamic man and his ministry.
Visitors Center
The Billy Sunday Visitors' Center chronicles the life of famed evangelist Billy Sunday through displays, exhibits, and memorabilia. The Visitor's Center is constructed to resemble the original 7,500-seat Billy Sunday Tabernacle built in 1920 where countless evangelistic revivals, services, and events were held until its demolition in 1992.
